TOUR DESCRIPTION
This one day experience from Chiang Mai will feature on some serious trekking as you will spend the full day in the jungle. On this day you will depart Chiang Mai for the 1.5 hour drive to the trek start point making a stop at the local town market on route so the guide can purchase food stuff for your lunch. The trek will begin in the Mae Wang area. The trekking will be divided into a morning and afternoon session broken up with a well earned rest and a filling lunch. You will spend around 4 hours trekking the jungle trails enjoying this off the beaten path trekking area. In the afternoon you will also get to visit a Karen village and a waterfall where you get to take a refreshing shower in cool cascading water. You will be transferred back to your Chiang Mai hotel around 5pm. |

Groups
This tour is conducted as a group tour to depart we need a minimum of 2 persons booked on the tour. On a group tour you will join a group of up to 14 persons.
Transport
Group tours - transport will be by covered and seated pick up
Transfer
This tour includes transfer to and from your Chiang Mai Hotel. Please be ready and waiting in the lobby of your hotel before the pick up time specified on your booking confirmation.
Please specify your hotel and its address on the booking form. If you do not have a hotel booked we can still process your booking but please inform us of your hotel at least 3 days prior to departure.
Please note that this tour can pick up from city hotels only
and can not pick up from resorts outside the city. If yo are staying in a resort outside of the city you can still join the trek but you will need to make your own way into to our office for the pick up time..
Accommodation
This is a full day tour and no accommodation is provided. Blugecko can arrange your Chiang Mai hotel if required
Guides
This tour is conducted with an English speaking guide. The guides will be TAT licensed (Tourist Authority of Thailand)
Insurance
A limited amount of accident insurance is provided to cover some medical bills in case of an injury but it is advised that you have your own comprehensive accident insurance.
Dress Codes and what to wear
• The Northern Thailand climate is hot all year round. Wear light, cool clothes: Shorts (or long pants if you prefer), T shirt and a sun hat are ideal attire.
• Please be prepared for the occasional shower, luckily in Chiang Mai rainfall is mostly confined to short showers rather than prolonged rainfall. A lightweight easily packable raincoat is an ideal precaution
Fitness
Exertion levels are high on this tour there will be around 4 hours of trekking up and down rough tracks in a hot climate
Meals
This is a full day tour and lunch is provided. Vegetarians can be catered for
Tipping
There is no compulsory tipping. Tipping is at your own discretion and choice, but if you felt that you were served by the guide and driver well during your trip any extra income is gratefully received.
