On arrival at the sanctuary you will be provided with some background information on the elephants living here and how elephants have featured in northern Thai life. Following the introduction it will be time to meet and get acquainted the elephants, the best way to do this is start to offer them some food and make sure that these large hungry beasts get well fed! It will then be your turn to eat and a buffet lunch will be provided. The first activity of the afternoon will be a practical lesson on how to make special herbal medicines for the elephant. Get ready to get dirty as you will escort the elephants to the mud spa where you can feel free to join the elephants rolling around in their muddy pit! After all the mud it will be time to get clean and you will escort the elephants to the river for a refreshing bath and brush up. After the days elephant activities you will be free to relax and wind down at the Karen village. An evening meal will be provided and you will spend the night in the village
