TOUR DESCRIPTIONYou will be picked up at your Chiang Mai hotel and drive north towards the Mae Tang area and the location of Baan Chang Elephant Park. On arrival you will change your clothes into your comfortable mahout outfit. It will then be time to meet your elephants and give them their early morning feed. Following feeding time you will be briefed on the background of the Asia elephant along with instructions on the proper commands to control your elephant. You will then be ready to climb on the elephants back and try your hand at some real mounting! following lunch you will spend the afternoon riding your elephants bare back up the hills into the forest. Following the elephant ride it will be time for the elephants afternoon bath time feel free to get stuck in and give the elephant a good scrub! At the end of the day you will be transferred back to your Chiang Mai hotel. |

This tour is conducted as a group tour to depart we need a minimum of 1 persons booked on the tour. On a group tour you will join a group with others.Transport

This tour includes transfer to and from your Chiang Mai hotel. Please be ready and waiting in the lobby of your hotel before the pick up time specified on your booking confirmation.
Please specify your hotel and its address on the booking form. If you do not have a hotel booked we can still process your booking but please inform us of your hotel at least 3 days prior to departure. Please note that this tour can pick up from city hotels only and can not pick up from resorts outside the city.
Accommodation
This is a full day tour and no accommodation is provided. Blugecko can arrange your Chiang Mai hotel if required Guides
This tour is conducted with an English speaking guide. The guides will be TAT licensed (Tourist Authority of Thailand) Insurance
A limited amount of accident insurance is provided to cover some medical bills in case of an injury but it is advised that you have your own comprehensive accident insurance.Elephant welfare
The elphants reside in Baan Chang's own elephant park in the Mae Tang area Blugecko believe the elephant owners provide a good standard of elephant welfare but please note the following:
• The Baan Chang operators believe that a bull hook is required to for appropriate control of the elephant and to ensure the clients safety safety .
• Some bareback riding is allowed - no riding apparatus or seats are used
Please be aware and understand the above if you are uncomfortable with any use of the bull hook then please do not do not book this tour

Dress Codes and what to wear
• At Baan Chang you will be provided with traditional Thai mahout clothes, please also bring a swim suit and a sturdy pair of training shoes
