Visit the small Bohemian town of Pai and soak up its laid back atmosphere on a 2 day 1 night trip from Chiang Mai.

TOUR DESCRIPTION


Day 1
Chiang Mai to Pai
We will pick you up from your Chiang Mai hotel and head north out of the city of Chiang Mai. For those who want to get up close and personal with tigers then we can stop at Tiger Kingdom, here you have the choice of going into the tigers enclosure to really get up close with fully grown tigers. We will then take the short hop next door to the Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park, this unique establishment manufactures a variety of paper products from elephant poo! The next stop on the road to Pai will be the beautiful Mok Fah Waterfall, bring your swim suit as the pool at the bottom of the falls makes for a refreshing swim! The road will continue on to Pai and soon it will start to wind its way up the mountains and eventually the road will start to descent into a fertile river valley where you will find the small town of Pai. Before we enter Pai you can choose to stop at the iconic iron bridge which has become one of the famous landmarks of Pai and a favorite photo spot for visitors. We will take lunch in Pai then you will be transferred to your Pai hotel to enjoy Pai at your leisure for the rest of the late afternoon. In the evening the little town of Pai comes alive with a vibrant night market along the main street highly recommended for the evening and a good place to search out a good evening meal.

Day 2
Pai to Chiang Mai
We will pick you up at your Pai hotel and visit the Mae Yen Temple. The temple here affords some great views over the town of Pai and beyond and is now home to a giant Buddha we will then head up river where you can try you hand at some bamboo rafting on the Pai River. Wear your swim suit as you will probably get wet! . The bamboo rafts will make their way gently down river through the town of Pai and on out of town through rural scenes and paddy fields. We will take lunch in Pai before our final stop in this little town at the geological anomially that is Pai Canyon. We will then depart Pai back to Chiang Mai, on the route we will make a couple of short detiurs to viait Pam Bok Waterfall and Pong Duet Hot springs. Bring your swim suit as their is a great hot spring water pool here!

Day 1- Chiang Mai to Pai
• Pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel

• Visit Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park
• Visit Mok Fah Waterfall
• Iron bridge (if you want to stop!)

• Transfer to Pai hotel
• At your leisure in Pai


Day 2 - Pai to Chiang Mai
• 09:00 Pick up from your Pai Hotel
• Visit Mae Yen Temple
• Bamboo rafting
• Lunch
• Pai Canyon
• Pam Bok Waterfall
• Return drive to Chiang Mai
• Visit Pong Duet hot springs

Groups
This tour is conducted as a privately escorted tour only you will be supplied with your own tour guide and private vehicle . Sorry there are no group departures for this programme.

Transport
For 1-2 persons transport will be a modern comfortable air-conditioned car or minibus
For 3-13 persons transport will be a modern comfortable air-conditioned minibus

Transfer
This tour includes transfer to and from your Chiang Mai hotel. Please be ready and waiting in the lobby of your hotel before the pick up time specified on your booking confirmation. Please specify your hotel and its address on the booking form. If you do not have a hotel booked we can still process your booking but please inform us of your hotel at least 3 days prior to departure. For private tours we can arrange transfers to and from all hotels (an extra charge will usually be incurred for outlying hotels). If there are any issues with your specified hotel we will inform you before we ask for payment and process your booking.

Accommodation
No accommodation is included in the above package tour. we will assume that you will make your own arrangements. If you require Blugecko to arrange your hotel please let us know and we can provide a full quote.
Guides
This tour is conducted with an English speaking guide. The guides will be TAT licensed (Tourist Authority of Thailand)

Insurance
A limited amount of accident insurance is provided to cover some medical bills in case of an injury but it is advised that you have your own comprehensive accident insurance.

Dress Codes and what to wear

• The Northern Thailand climate is hot all year round. Wear light, cool clothes: Shorts (or long pants if you prefer), T shirt and a sun hat are ideal attire.

• On this tour you will be visiting Buddhist temples, respectful and neat dress is always appreciated at temples, please wear knee length shorts and a shirt which covers your shoulders

• Please be prepared for the occasional shower, luckily in Chiang Mai rainfall is mostly confined to short showers rather than prolonged rainfall. A lightweight easily packable raincoat is an ideal precaution

• Swim wear may be required on this tour as there is an option to swim at the waterfalls and you will get wet during the bamboo rafting.

Fitness
Exertion levels are light on this 2 day tour with a few short walks between attractions. There are steps and slopes

Tipping
